Q: My horse has just had a severe injury, how

long should I wait before using Massage?

A: 7-10 days is a good rule. Unless otherwise

ordered by your Veterinarian. However,

surrounding muscles which are now bearing more

strain should be massaged to help further & speed

healing.

Q: Why does my or any horse, need Sports

Massage?

A: It is better, easier and less costly to prevent a

problem than to correct one. The most basic fact of

motion is resistance!

Q: When will I see improvement, relief from pain,

tension, anxiety etc.?

A: Immediately in most cases.

Q: If my horse is “just a little off” will Sports

Massage help?

A: YES!

Q: Can you, as a CESMT, give me a diagnosis?

A: No. Ideas and thought yes but all diagnosis must

come from a qualified DVM.

Q: How often does an equine need Massage.

Assuming there are no outstanding issues?

A: Once a month is most beneficial but some

Equines can go as long as 2 months between

treatments.

Q: If competing often should I plan on Massages?

A: About every two weeks, depending on your level of competition and your horses overall health.
